Tutor Time Activities
We follow a dedicated weekly schedule of tutor time activities to ensure that all students in the year group are fully supported by their form tutor.

PSHE takes place every Tuesday morning as part of an extended tutor time. Throughout Year 9, students will explore a number of different topic areas.
Autumn Term - Relationships, sexuality, LGBTQ+ awareness, consent, and contraception.
Spring Term - Career pathways, GCSE options, future planning, and interview skills.
Summer Term - Drug and alcohol awareness, risk assessment, conflict resolution, and civic responsibility.

GCSE Options Process
Year 9 is a pivotal year where students begin the process of selecting their GCSE options for Key Stage 4. This process is guided by our experienced staff to ensure students make informed choices that align with their interests, abilities, and future aspirations. During the spring term, students and parents are invited to attend our Options Evening, where they can learn about the GCSE subjects available and speak to subject teachers about course content and requirements.
