Supporting Every Student on Their Journey
Our Pastoral Structure
Every student at Ernest Bevin Academy belongs to a form group. Form tutors are the first point of contact for students and parents, providing daily support and guidance.
Our pastoral structure includes:
Form Tutors
Form tutors meet with their groups daily, building strong relationships and monitoring academic progress, attendance, and wellbeing.
- Daily registration and check-ins
- Academic mentoring and target-setting
- First point of contact for parents
- Personal development activities
Heads of Year
Each year group has a dedicated Head of Year who oversees the pastoral care and academic progress of all students in that year.
- Monitoring overall year group progress
- Coordinating interventions and support
- Leading assemblies and year events
- Working with external agencies when needed
Pastoral Support Team
Our dedicated pastoral support team includes trained staff who can provide specialized support for a range of personal, social, and emotional issues.

Senior Leadership Team
The Senior Leadership Team oversees the pastoral system, ensuring it meets the needs of all students and maintaining high standards of behavior and attendance.

Student Wellbeing Support
Supporting Mental Health
We recognize the importance of good mental health and provide a range of services to support students:

Personal Development
