At Ernest Bevin Academy, we are committed to providing high-quality careers education, information, advice and guidance to all students. Our careers programme helps students to develop the knowledge, understanding, confidence and skills they need to make well-informed choices and plans for their future.

Careers Programme

Our careers programme is designed to meet the eight Gatsby Benchmarks, which are a framework of guidelines that define the best careers provision in schools and colleges:

Work Experience

All students in Year 10 participate in a one-week work experience placement. This provides valuable insight into the world of work and helps students develop key employability skills. The work experience program includes:

  • Preparation workshops and guidance
  • Support with finding and securing placements
  • Health and safety briefings
  • Reflection and evaluation activities
