Humanities & Politics Courses

Our Humanities and Politics Department encourages students to develop a deep understanding of human societies, cultures, environments, and political systems. These subjects help students make sense of our complex world and prepare them to become informed global citizens.
The department is equipped with specialist resources including geographical information systems (GIS), historical archives, and political data analysis tools. Our experienced teachers are committed to bringing these subjects to life through engaging teaching methods, debate, and field study.
Beyond the Classroom
Students have opportunities to:

Course Overview
This course develops students' understanding of significant events, people, and issues from the past, exploring both British and global history. Students analyze historical sources, evaluate interpretations, and develop arguments through extended writing. The course covers periods including Tudor England, the Cold War, and civil rights movements.
